I'm at total noob when it comes to IEMs and stuff. I only brought a KZ one off Amazon for $13 and I liked it however I lost it recently. I wanted to see if I can get a KZ Bluetooth adapter for a new one but do they all work for all KZ earbuds/IEMs? Do other brands work for it? Does it depend on the mm size?

i honestly really want to stay using linux, i start using linux 8 months ago, after refurbishing my dad old laptop. But stop using it after i got a new PC, it's far more powerful compared to my laptop where i got my linux installed. I tried to install heavy program on the new PC using win emulator (still use linux on my PC that time), but it cannot work anyway. Sadly, thinking about so many software that i want to use but don't support linux, i switch back to windows. Btw, i give a bit of modification to remove spyware or "built in feature" with a bit of youtube tutorial.

A lot of linux snobs will tell you your distro choice is wrong, remember to ignore them and enjoy whatever distro you choose because there's next to no real difference between distros of linux. Hope the computer lasts you a long time and serves you for your needs. :)

I used Ubuntu on my work computer in the previous job so definitely comfortable with it. The one problem I have is gaming, of course, and I have a few programs that are only on Windows and Mac. Looking for alternatives now but I will probably make the switch this year.

I prefer Linux Mint, but Ubuntu is a great choice as well.

Moved my laptop to Mint and my main machine to Pop OS. I wasn't worried about running slower, just didn't like windows 11 with all it's ads, telemetry and trying to force logging in with an MS account, never mind the recall announcement. Pure nightmare fuel.

It seems that the 4% is growing, unfortunately most people do not trust themselves to install any Operating System (OS). It would be nice a comeback of wubi, that was an MS Windows installer for Ubuntu Linux for less savvy users. And meanwhile it would be great to see more videos about using VENTOY in MS Windows OS to be able to install MS WOS from ISO in USB sticks, and adding some repair and general purpose Linux ISO to test in live mode, or install.

upgrading thru windows update or running setup.exe will really slow the system. it is highly recommended to clean install windows 11.

Ubuntu Budgie looks better and feels like a MacOS but for Linux so does Garuda Dragonized but I feel Dragonized isn't that stable use at your own risk I don't think it has LTS but I could be wrong it looks more modern than WIndows or MacOS I want something that I will like that has a start menu. I tried Linux Mint it's okay but I don't mind exploring other distros before Windows 10 reaches end of life and yes I also am not upgrading to 11 it's a joke.

The good thing is that I switched to Linux somewhere in December 2023 for good because Windows is adding new spyware and other bullshit to their OS. Sadly, Windows 10 will end up in the life of support next year :(. I am currently using the Fedora Workstation 40 btw

You could install and run Windows on a virtual machine on Linux, instead of dual booting. I did that when I was trying out Linux a few years back and installed all my Windows-only software on it. I ended up only using Linux and found good alternatives to my Windows software. It helps that all my games run fine on Linux, so I don't have a reason to miss anything about Windows.

I'm on vacation and decided to install Windows 10 to play a specific Silver ProtonDB game, which occasionally crashes on Linux. I installed Windows 10 to install other games and be able to use mods more easily. The result was that I managed to get the specific game running and mods running with Dragon Age Trilogy on Windows 10. Still, all the other games, like Persona 3 Reload, Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne, and even older Elder Scrolls, wouldn't run with mods! I was shocked by this and went back to Linux. I didn't lose anything since I installed Windows on a different drive. And the banner "Activate Windows" even on full screen was the nail in the coffin.

you could stay at windows 10 turn off all updates and this big ads about win 11 upgrade and use until all apps will until they still work. check what kernel do you have install the newest one and unistal old one maybe camera and other thing will start working.

Ya, I don't like how there is that Copilot+ Recall, another reason to switch to Linux. I went with Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and seems to work somewhat good. Just weird with 2 Monitors I get 60fps for this game I play Tanki Online MMO using Google Chrome; but with 1 Monitor I get 165fps. Firefox browser that came with Ubuntu works 165 fps whether there is 1 or 2 monitors. Wish there was a way to get this to work, I am not sure how.

Just be careful with secure boot. Yes while Linux kernel can support it, is very tricky though as well, and I just prefer it to be totally disabled. TPM is great tho. For in terms of protecting, better option is all the password settings withing UEFI/BIOS and hopefully a HDD one as well. With that, then ya don't necessarily have to use Full Disk Encryption. otherwise known as luks.

I am currently running Windows 10 LTSC. I plan to be fully migrated over by the end of the year, Just waiting for all the kinks to be worked out with NVIDIA Wayland.
